SWCFD#1 takes great pride in our fire prevention programs. SWCFD#1 offers station tours, public CPR-First Aid and fire extinguisher classes several times a year; our smoke detector program gives out free smoke detectors to the elderly and needy. In partnership with Wal-Mart and the Wyoming Highway Patrol we host an annual safety day, we participate in Family night at the county Fair and various other public education activities throughout the year. Starting in 2007 we will be hosting an annual get to know your Fire Department open house.

The Surrey Fire Safety House will be utilized by our Firefighters to educate the public about the dangers of fire and the proper things to do in the event that they might have a fire in their home. If you are interested in having the Fire Safety House at one of your special events please contact SWCFD#1 fire prevention department.
